A Taste for Life started in Ottawa in 1999 in support of Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation. Since then Taste has been joined by 24 communities from Saskatoon to Hamilton, Edmonton to Montreal.
TD has been the generous presenting sponsor for seven years, and provide our Taste restaurants with up to 60 volunteers. Their sponsorship allows 100% of donations to go directly to the services and programs.
The Taste restaurants are each supported by volunteer hosts who promote, encourage and get friends and families fill the restaurants on a Wednesday evening.
This year we hope to raise $100,000. In 2017 57% of the $70,000 raised came from diner donations, so not only do we have a remarkable and generous restaurant community, but our diners truly understand the importance of giving back.
The evening is unparalleled in attendance and restaurant participation.
Hope Made Delicious.
